ATLANTA — The International Production & Processing Expo, which represents the entire chain of protein production and processing, opens Jan. 26-28 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
The annual event is sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association, the North American Meat Association and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association and is a combination of their three trade shows — the International Feed Expo, International Meat Expo and International Poultry Expo.
The combined show will cover three halls in the Georgia World Congress Center and sponsors expect more than 1,250 exhibitors and more than 30,000 attendees at the 2016 event.
The Expo will highlight the latest technology, equipment and services used in the production and processing of eggs, meat, poultry and animal feed; and will feature educational programs addressing current industry issues.
Programs include the International Poultry Scientific Forum, Pet Food Conference, Environmental Conference for the Meat & Poultry Industry, International Rendering Symposium, FSIS-HAACP Validation Compliance, HPAI-Lessons Learned, the Food Safety Modernization Act and more.
A special program will be the USPOULTRY Foundation College Student Career Program, along with the International Student Program, which gives companies an opportunity to interview top students for industry-related jobs and internships during the three-day period. The program involves students from national and international universities and has been an important part of the hiring process for many companies for more than 40 years.
The IPPE is the world’s largest annual poultry, meat and feed industry event of its kind. A wide range of national and international decision-makers attend to become informed on the latest developments and issues facing the industry.
