HOUSTON — Poultry exhibitors were excited for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo to announce the champion broilers and turkeys after months of preparing and taking care of their birds. The Junior Market Poultry Champion Selection took place in NRG Arena on March 12.
Ninth-grader Sydney Paul of Huntsville, Texas, exhibited the Grand Champion Pen of Broilers. The 14-year-old Walker County 4-H Club member said she chose to show poultry because of the bond she is able to form with the birds.
