ROSE HILL, N.C. — House of Raeford Farms’ Arcadia, La., recented reached 1 million man hours without a lost time accident. The period covered was from January-August 2012.
“We place a great deal of emphasis on our monthly safety training programs for all associates,” stated Kevin Pittman, safety director for the Arcadia complex. “In addition, our Safety Committee, made up of volunteer line employees, managers and union representatives, has been trained in the Occupational Safetly & Health Administration 510 course; conducts internal plant safety audits; and encourages input from all employees to maintain a safe workplace.”
