GEORGETOWN, Del. — The National Meeting on Poultry Health, Processing and Live Production, presented by the Delmarva Poultry Industry Inc., will be held Oct. 12-14 in Ocean City, Md.
One of the highlights of the meeting will be key information presented on this year’s highly pathogenic avian influenza episode in the Midwest. Speakers with firsthand experience in this outbreak will discuss their involvement and what could lie ahead.
HPAI topics on Oct. 13 include Federal Response and Outcomes, Epidemiology, Trade Impacts and Outlook, Regional Response, Industry Response, The Role of Wildlife and Research and Vaccine Development
Topics for the Live Production Session on Oct. 14 include Relationship between Antibiotic Use and Antibiotic Resistance, Consumer Confidence in the Food Supply, Removing Antibiotics from Chicken Production, Reducing Broiler Stress and Managing Litter Cake
