Export certification program changes for egg products food

WASHINGTON — USDA's Food Safety & Inspection Service on Sept.10, 2014, published in the Federal Register a notice announcing that it will no longer issue export certificates for Food & Drug Administration-regulated prepared or manufactured food products that contain egg products as an ingredient, such as cooked omelets and frozen egg patties.

Because the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has instituted a program to provide this service, FSIS will discontinue issuing certificates on Nov. 10, 2014.

The notice also announces that FSIS will update the FSIS Export Library on Nov.10, 2014, to show this change in. . .
