WASHINGTON — The U.S. Energy Information Administration has published its Short-Term Energy Outlook, predicting that ethanol production will average 934,000 barrels per day next year.
According to the EIA, ethanol production in June matched the monthly average production record of 959,000 barrels per day set in December 2011, before falling back to average 911,000 barrels per day in October. EIA currently predicts 2014 production will average 927,000 barrels per day this year, increasing to 934,000 barrels per day next year.
