ALPHARETTA, Ga. — The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Army Corps of Engineers have worked for the last several years on the new "clean water" rule, commonly referred to as Waters of The U.S. (WOTUS). The proposed WOTUS rule was controversial from the get-go, with many agricultural groups and industrial sectors around the country opposing it due to the vague nature of some of the critical provisions and definitions, and clear government overreach in light of recent Supreme Court decisions.
