Corn outlook affected by exports, ethanol production

WASHINGTON — Feed grain use was estimated in December at 367.8 million tons, which is a decrease of 700,000 tons as a result of higher uses of corn for ethanol, as well as reduced exports, the USDA's Economic Research Service said in its December "Feed Outlook."

"Corn is projected to account for 92 percent of total feeding in 2015/2016, down from the 2014/2015 estimate of 94 percent," ERS noted. "In 2015. . .
