Carbon footprint and assessment tool developed for poultry producers

TUCKER, Ga. — U.S. Poultry & Egg Association and the USPOULTRY Foundation have announced the completion of a funded research project at the University of Georgia, Athens, Ga., in which researchers developed a carbon footprint and assessment tool for poultry producers.

The calculation tool is a computer-based, user-friendly spreadsheet that can be easily accessed and used by poultry growers. The tool allows a grower to assess the carbon footprint of their farm.
