Calif. groups ask Congress to act now on farm bill and estate law

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Twenty-six California agricultural groups have called on Congress to tackle "before the end of the year" extension of the current estate tax law and passage of a five-year farm bill.

In a letter to House and Senate leaders, the California groups said that "without resolution of these two issues before the end of the year, farmers, ranchers and our natural landscape will suffer."
