Bayer CropScience launches young farmer sustainability award program

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Bayer CropScience asking young agricultural producers to share their stories on how they are demonstrating excellence in business and environmental sustainability in its 2013 Young Farmer Sustainability Award program.

To apply, any farmer or rancher age 40 and under who receives at least half of his or her income from farming and farm-related ventures, must complete the entry form, along with the essay questions, and send a letter of reference from an accountant, banker, input dealer/representative or agribusiness leader.  The application is due Jan. 24, 2013.
