ARUP Laboratories offering a new H5 flu assay

SALT LAKE CITY — ARUP Laboratories has announced its launch of a new assay for the detection and subtyping of influenza A (H5) virus. This test will aid in the evaluation of individuals who may have been exposed to highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) A virus, also known as H5N1 or bird flu.
