WASHINGTON — The Environmental Protection Agency's latest greenhouse gas proposal will harm the nation's economy, rural communities and America's farm and ranch families if implemented, the American Farm Bureau Federation has said.
The Farm Bureau's stand is in response to the EPA's Clean Power Plan, released June 2, which proposes guidelines to cut carbon pollution from existing power plants seeking to make them more efficient and less polluting.
The proposal follows steps laid out in the administration's Climate Action Plan and the June 2013 Presidential Memorandum.
