Texas A&M honors Monroe Fuchs

COLLEGE STATION, Texas —  Monroe H.  Fuchs of Cameron, Texas, owner of Ideal Poultry Breeding Farms, was named an Outstanding Alumni of Texas A&M University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the recent Legacy and Leadership Banquet.

At age 13, Fuchs was the youngest person ever to become Texas-certified as a poultry testing and selection agent. An honor graduate of  Yoe High School in Cameron, he received academic honors at Texas A&M while serving in the Corps of Cadets and the Ross Volunteers. He earned his bachelor’s degree in poultry husbandry in 1956. . .
