The USDA’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) announced that as of Sunday, Sept. 3, mothers and children who were affected by hurricane Harvey will have an easier time finding foods.
The USDA has approved food-package flexibilities for WIC recipients, specifically with foods that have been cut in short supply due to the hurricane. These items include a variety of eggs, bread and unflavored milk.
