SALISBURY, Md. — Perdue Farms recently announced three new senior leadership team appointments. Kim Poe is now the senior vice president of strategy & corporate development; Sal Gala is now the senior vice president of procurement; and Brice Westring is senior vice president of research & development (R&D).
These selections emphasize the company’s commitment to bringing in diverse talent and leadership experience that will guide the company into its next century, Perdue noted in an announcement.
“These leaders bring deep expertise across strategy, operations, innovation, and supply chain,” Kevin McAdams, Perdue Farms CEO, said. “Their experience will strengthen our executive team as we continue our transformation and growth journey. Just as importantly, the diversity of thought and leadership they bring reflects our commitment to building a culture where top talent can thrive and make a lasting impact.”
In her new position, Poe will lead Perdue Farms’ enterprise growth strategy and guide long-term planning to support sustainable growth and innovation.
She has more than 20 years of experience in the strategic and operations fields, some of which she gained as the vice president of business excellence and global PMO at Kidde Global Solutions, the company noted.
She has also held leadership positions at Carrier, Georgia-Pacific, and Academy Sports & Outdoors. After completing her MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, she worked at McKinsey & Company, advising food and beverage companies on growth and marketing strategies, the company added.
Gala, in his new position, will oversee Perdue Farms’ procurement organization, with a focus on building strong supply partnerships, improving processes, and driving long-term value across the company’s supply chain, the company said.
He has years of experience in senior procurement leadership roles at companies like McCormick, Mars, and Goodyear, managing sourcing and operations on a global scale. He earned an MBA in supply chain and corporate finance from Pennsylvania State University, the company added.
Westring, in his new position, will lead Perdue Farms’ R&D organization, continuing its role as a driver of innovation and product leadership in protein, the company said.
He joins Perdue Farms after serving as the vice president of R&D-North America, for Mondelez International, where he was responsible for more than 9 billion dollars in sales and leading organizational transformation.
As Perdue Farms moves into its next chapter, Poe, Gala, and Westring represent the company’s commitment to building a forward-looking leadership team equipped to accelerate innovation, strengthen operational excellence, and create long-term value for associates, farmers, customers, and consumers, the company announced.
