UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The first Poultry Handling & Transportation Quality Assurance (PHTQA) "Train the Trainer" workshop will be held March 15-16th, following the Midwest Poultry Federation Convention in St. Paul, Minn.
The PHTQA program is a third party certification training for poultry transporters and catch crews. It was developed by a team of poultry scientists and veterinarians from Pennsylvania State University, USDA and transportation industry professionals. Attendees will be trained to independently hold certification meetings for individuals and companies on behalf of PHTQA.
