ATHENS, Ga. — A Poultry Processing & Safety workshop will be held Sept. 10-11 at the Extension Food Science Training Facility on the University of Georgia Campus in Athens.
The two-day workshop will showcase the latest developments in poultry processing, promote innovative approaches for improving poultry safety and highlight cutting-edge technologies being applied to improve the safety and quality of poultry meat products.
Special topics for the event include the new Food Safety & Inspection Service regulations pertaining to poultry slaughter and safety, environmental impact of poultry processing and using poultry protein in wet pet foods.
