William Roenigk receives NPFDA Lifetime Achievement Award

SAINT MARYS, Ga. — William (BIll) P.  Roenigk, senior vice president of the National Chicken Council, is the 2012 recepient of the National Poultry & Food Distributors Association's Poultlry Industry Lifetime Achievement  Award.

The award is presented each year to a poultry industry leader that has played a major role in the growth of the poultry industry.

Roenigk joined the National Chicken Council (then National Broiler Council) in 1974. The council represents companies that produce, process and market more than 95 percent of the young meat chickens (broilers) in the U.S.
