Steve Monroe elected USAPEEC chairman for 2016-17

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. — Steve Monroe, manager of export sales at Sanderson Farms in Laurel, Miss., has been elected chairman of the board of the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council for 2016-2017.

Monroe succeeds outgoing chairman Jim Wayt, managing director of Intervision Foods in Atlanta, Ga. The election came during USAPEEC's annual meeting at Lake Tahoe, Nev.

As chairman, Monroe will head the 30-member USAPEEC board of directors, which sets policy and gives direction to USAPEEC, an organization whose mission is to promote and increase exports of U.S. chicken, turkey, duck and egg products worldwide.
