LAUREL, Miss. — Sanderson Farms Inc. has reported results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended Oct. 31, 2011.
Net sales for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011 were $559.8 million compared with $529.1 million for the same period a year ago. For the quarter, the company reported a net loss of $21.6 million, or 97 cents per share, compared with net income of $47.8 million, or $2.08 per share, for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010. The net loss for the quarter includes an adjustment of $9 million, or 27 cents per share net. . .
