Researchers looking into chickens that may have natural immunity to bird flu

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Many animals have traits that could be perceived as supernatural; salmon’s ability to swim upstream, sea turtles knowing exactly where they were born and some chickens are genetically immune to avian influenza.

Even the chickens that are able to resist the deadly virus are not immune to all strains of it. The ones that are may have the answers of how to possibly eradicate the disease in their DNA.

According to Science Daily, studying the genetics in birds to fight the flu is a relatively new. . .
