Poultry industry adds 477,000 jobs

TUCKER, Ga. — An updated economic impact study highlights the increased positive impact the poultry industry has on jobs, wages and federal and state revenue in the U.S.

The study has been made available by the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association  National Chicken Council, National Turkey Federation and United Egg Producers.

A dynamic and integral part of the national economy, the poultry industry collectively increased from 2012 to 2014 the number of jobs from 1,337,020 to 1,814,200, amount of wages from $63 billion to $100.2 billion, total economic activity from $265.5 billion to. . .
