Pilgrim’s Pride expands recall of cooked products

WASHINGTON — Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. in Waco, Texas, is recalling approximately 4,568,080 pounds of fully cooked chicken products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, including plastic, wood, rubber and metal, USDA's Food Safety & Inspection Service announced April 28.

This announcement expands an April 7, 2016, recall to include additional products and production dates as well as a change in poundage, types of extraneous materials and distribution area.

The scope of this recall expansion now includes a variety of chicken products associated with extraneous material contamination. The chicken products were produced on various dates between Aug. . .
