LA traffic cone company gets giant chicken art

LOS ANGELES — An 8-foot-tall, 300-pound chicken made of traffic cones  comes home to roost in Los Angeles.

Artist Lana Shuttleworth made the chicken from thousands of shredded orange, yellow and red cones. The piece was commissioned by a Pasadena museum and it's been displayed there for a year.

However, the giant chicken was plucked up and moved to the downtown Los Angeles storage yard of the JCL Barricade Co.

The company provides traffic barricades, signs and cones for movies, construction projects, parades and marathons.
