FARMERVILLE, La. — Case Farms and Foster Farms recently reached an agreement to change ownership of Foster Farms’ Farmerville, Louisiana complex. With this transaction, Case Farms will acquire the Fresh Chicken, Prepared Foods, and Protein Conversion facilities located in Farmerville. Additionally, they will obtain the feed mill in Arcadia, Louisiana and the hatchery in Athens, Louisiana.
Case Farms and Foster Farms are both dedicated to providing their team members, customers, and suppliers with an easy transition as part of this strategic move for both businesses. According to a joint press release, both companies’ leadership are excited about the agreement and the future of their respective companies.
“We are proud to welcome the well-respected Foster Farm team members and growers to the Case Farm family,” said Tom Shelton, Case Farms founder and chairman.
“We want to extend our gratitude to the entire Farmerville team for their dedication and hard work at Foster Farms,” said Jayson Penn, CEO of Foster Farms. “We are proud to have been part of the Farmerville community and to have closely worked with our elected leaders to position this important complex for sustained success.”
Foster Farms conducted the sale as part of the company’s focus on growing its core branded retail and foodservice channels. On the other hand, the acquisition aligns with Case Farms’ strategic growth plan to enhance flexibility for its customers.
“We are now even better positioned to serve the millions of consumers who have made our brand a part of their lives for generations,” Penn continued. “Case Farms is a well-respected operator in our industry, and we wish the Farmerville team continued success.”
