JACKSON, Miss. — Cal-Maine Foods Inc. has reported results for the second quarter and 26 weeks ended Nov. 26, 2016.
Net sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2017 were $253.5 million, a 53.6 percent decrease, compared to $546 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2016. The company reported a net loss of $23 million, or 48 cents per basic and diluted share, for the second quarter of fiscal 2017, compared to net income of $109.2 million, or $2.27 per basic share and $2.26 per diluted share, for the second quarter of fiscal 2016. . .
