Business group welcomes Japan’s decision to join TPP talks

WASHINGTON — The United States/New Zealand Council has welcomed Japan’s decision to embrace the goals of a comprehensive, high-standard, and commercially-meaningful Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement.

“Japan’s participation will increase interest and support for the TPP among the U.S. and New Zealand business communities, as well as throughout the Asia-Pacific region,” said William Maroni, president of the US/NZ Council.
