WASHINGTON — Poultry slaughtered in China is not allowed to be exported to the U.S., USDA's Food Safety & Inspection Service has stated.
This statement was issued Nov. 10 in response to views expressed earlier in the day by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) that the U.S. was about to approve imports of chicken raised and slaughtered in China.
