USAPEEC donates $25,000 to Colombian mudslide victims

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — The USA Poultry & Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) has donated $25,000 to the relief effort for victims of a recent devastating mudslide in southern Colombia.

USAPEEC President Jim Sumner made the presentation on April 27, during a meeting of the International Poultry Council in Cartagena.

Sumner said that members of USAPEEC have developed a special relationship with the Colombian poultry industry over the last several years through its dealings with the Federacion Nacional de Avicultores de Colombia (FENAVI).

Both USAPEEC and FENAVI are founding members of the IPC.
