ATLANTA — Greg Morgan, Quirch Foods vice president of national accounts, was elected into his new role as chair of the National Protein and Food Distributors Association, during the group’s recent Annual Convention and Showcase in Atlanta, Ga.
Morgan succeeds Chan Windham, House of Raeford Farms vice president of sales, who now becomes NPFDA’s immediate past chair.
Other officers installed include: Vice Chair Barry Moose, Koch Foods division manager of transportation; and Treasurer Scott Robbert, EJ Poultry vice president of logistics.
NPFDA also welcomed its new Board of Director members, as well as a returning slate of representatives for the upcoming year. The board members will “each help support the nonprofit’s work to connect the protein and food distribution industry,” the association said.
“We’re excited to expand our board with six new board members and volunteer treasurer who will bring diverse expertise and insight to our work,” Windham said in a statement. “We have worked diligently to ensure NPFDA’s board and leadership represents a variety of companies from the protein and food industry, allied firms, as well as the broker/trader community, and the newest board members are no exception.”
Among the new NPFDA board members include: Chuck Bules, Simmons Foods director of commodity sales; Steven Buzgon, Eastern Quality Foods senior account manager; Whaley Casteen, House of Raeford sales manager; Janet Hubert, HHXpress LLC account manager; Matthew Johnson, Quirch Foods senior poultry purchasing specialist; and Ashley Mickelson, Red Lion Food Group commodity sales and procurement.
The returning NPFDA board members include: Graham Kirkman, Tip Top Poultry; Vincent Mennella, Mennella’s Poultry; Bruce Mooney, Mountaire Farms; Fernando Puentes, DeGroot Logistics; Jim Richardson, Perdue Farms; Ada Brewster, Butler Transport; Vanderbilt Edwards, Americold; Justin Monfredini, Pacagri Foods; Phil White, Holmes Foods; Chris Sharp, Kelly’s Foods; Adam Ferguson, HPL; Jesus Flores, Trophe Ingredients; Mariss Hans, Foodlinx; Dylan Hughes, Expana; Christi Proctor, Pilgrim’s; Kyle Richard, EJ Poultry; and Jamie Whaley, WOW Logistics.
NPFDA was established in 1967 and consists of 335 nationwide protein and food suppliers, marketers, processors, retailers, and transportation companies.
