GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The University of North Georgia is one of the fastest growing universities in in the state of Georgia. It was first established in 1873. According to the university, UNG is only one of six universities in the entire country that is federally recognized as a senior military college.
The university is comprised of about 20,000 students. The school consists of five campuses is various parts of Georgia: Dahlonega, Gainesville, Cumming, Blue Ridge, and Oconee. Out of the regional universities in the south, UNG is rated number 15.
