JACKSON, Miss. — Cal-Maine Foods Inc. reports net sales were $243.8 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2012, which ended Aug. 27. This compares with net sales of $190.4 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2011.
The company reported net income of $3.1 million, or 13 cents per basic and diluted share, for the first quarter of fiscal 2012 compared with net income of $4.8 million, or 20 cents per basic and diluted share, for the year-earlier period.
