Product recalled due to misbranding, undeclared allergen

WASHINGTON — Chef’s Requested Foods Inc. of Oklahoma City, Okla., is recalling approximately 875 pounds of center cut steaks because the packages actually contain turkey filets. The turkey filets contain the allergens wheat and soy, and the center cut steak labels do not list wheat as an ingredient, USDA’s Food Safety & Inspection Service has announced.

The products being recalled are 10-ounce plastic double cup packages of “Chef’s Requested Center Cut Steak Hand Trimmed, Bacon Wrapped Beef Steaks Enhanced with up to twenty percent of a lightly seasoned solution”

The products bear the establishment number “EST. 5792. . .
