Chicken sausages recalled due to misbranding

WASHINGTON — Papa Cantella's Inc. of Vernon, Calif., is recalling approximately 456 pounds of chicken sausages because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen, USDA's Food Safety & Inspection Service has announced. The product being recalled contains walnuts, a known allergen, which is not noted on the label.

The products being recalled include 16-ounce packages of "Cantella's Fully Cooked Chicken Sausage with Apples," bearing the identifying lot numbers of "10191100" or "10191100R" and sell/freeze by dates of "12/03/2011" or "12/06/2011."

Each package bears the establishment number "P-6016" inside the USDA mark of. . .
