WASHINGTON — The National Chicken Council has joined 900 organizations and individuals in expressing support for a strong federal investment in the USDA's Research, Education and Economics (REE) mission area as a critical component of federal appropriations for FY 2013 (FY13).
The 900 represent farmers and farmer groups, agricultural organizations, food and grocery manufacturers, technology providers, university administrators, scientific organizations and individual scientists from across the nation.
The groups and individuals expressed the need for increased investments in science for food and agriculture in a letter sent to the chairmen and ranking members of the Senate and House Committees on. . .
