WASHINGTON — A total of 225 U.S. food and agricultural associations, including numerous poultry and egg organizations, have called on Congress to vote on the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP).
In a letter to House and Senate leaders, the ag groups expressed their support of the trade package and asked that Congress approve the TPP this year.
"The TPP is critical to the livelihood of the U.S. food and agriculture sector because it will create conditions that encourage economic growth and increased employment in rural areas and throughout the supply chain," the letter stated.
